We have a wide range of mirrors all designed for use in educational settings, we do not recommend them for use outside.
Packing and delivery: We pack our mirrors carefully so they arrive ready for use, if in the unlikely event that a mirror arrives damaged call us and we will replace it immediately. The guarantee does not cover impact damage in use, so all play with mirrors must be supervised.
Scratching. Due to the robust nature of play, plastic mirrors will become scratched when used in play. Scratches will not weaken the mirror but will reduce the optical qualities especially if viewed at a distance. Children interact with mirrors differently to adults and get much closer to them where any loss of optical quality is much less noticable.
Acrylic and PET G Mirrors, are "undersurface" mirrorised and printed, these mirrors have the longest life and the best optical qualities. EN71 specification high impact resistant mirrors (sewn into soft play) are top surface mirrorised and have a special permanent clear film over the mirror to seal the product.
Care Use & Cleaning:Keep all mirrors away from locations and situations where they might risk reflecting direct sunlight so as to cause dazzle, reflected heat damage, impact damage, or vandalism.
Do not clean with ammonia based cleaners such as Windolene or abrasive cleaners as these will severely damage your mirror. Use only household polishes, damp and dry cloths.
Mirrors will have the longest life if kept free from scratches and impact damage. We recommend that shoes are removed before children climb on soft play equipment which includes sewn in mirrors.
Soft frame mirrors: add colour, protect from accidental collisions, popular and used successfully in many educatinal settings. We recommend that these mirrors are wall mounted. The frames are not designed to withstand persistant violent or heavy pulling nor designed to take a child's weight hanging from them.
